Anish Kapoor

Music as a way of bringing hope to those suffering in the aftermath of the tragic earthquake that struck Japan on 11 March 2011. This is the aim of the project entitled Ark Nova – A Tribute to Higashi Nihon. In collaboration withArata Isozaki. The mobile concert hall being built, can be transported to various locations in the devastated region. The multi-component design includes a hall with seating for between 500 to 700 spectators. The inflatable shell is made of an elastic material that allows quick erection and dismantling.

  The stages of the project:
Showing the stages of design  is very important to full understand how your design will work, first the rough sketch so that you can visualise the image then bring it to 3D with a model the reefing the image with rendering techniques.

Flashback
Anish Kapoor has done amazing work and has so much relevance to the research i am doing. Some of his structures with the twist of art are beautiful but then on the other hand some of the contemporary art does fall in my category of nonfunctional art, and looses its purpose.
